Terms of Service

Last updated 4 October 2026
StudentCV is operated by Planviah Helgesen, Norway · Org. no. 935 477 549

§1About us

StudentCV (studentcv.app) is operated by Planviah Helgesen, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway (org. no. 935 477 549), Kringsjåveien 19, 5162 Laksevåg, Norway. You can reach us at hei@planviah.com.

These terms apply when you use StudentCV, create an account or buy something on studentcv.app, including the UK (/uk) and Canadian (/ca) versions of the site. How we handle personal information is described in the privacy policy.

§2The service

StudentCV helps you write a CV, cover letter and LinkedIn text with artificial intelligence (AI). Everything is generated automatically. No person writes or reviews your documents.

You can create and edit your CV for free before you pay. Buying a package unlocks downloads of the finished files and the content the package includes. What each package contains and costs is shown on studentcv.app when you buy.

AI can make mistakes. Read everything before you send it to an employer. You are responsible for making sure the content is accurate and true.

§3Your account

You can create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Google, Apple or LinkedIn. If you buy without signing in, we create an account for the email address you give us, so you can get to what you bought.

Keep your sign-in to yourself. You can delete your account at any time under Profile in the dashboard.

You must be at least 16 to use StudentCV. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to buy.

§4Prices and payment

Purchases on studentcv.app are sold through Link: our reseller and merchant of record, Sold through Link, LLC (Link, part of Stripe), takes your payment, charges and pays any sales tax, VAT or GST, and sends your receipt. Your purchase is also covered by Link's Sold Through Link Terms. We never see your card details.

  • United States and Canada: prices are in US or Canadian dollars. Sales tax, where it applies, is added at checkout based on your address.
  • United Kingdom: prices are in pounds and include VAT.
  • If you pay in another currency, Link converts the price at its own exchange rate, shown at checkout.

The charge appears on your statement as a payment to Link (for example LINK.COM*), not to StudentCV. For questions about a payment or a charge, you can contact us or Link support.

Price changes never apply to purchases you have already made.

§5What you get

A package is a one-time purchase. It is unlocked as soon as the payment goes through.

Finished documents can be downloaded for 90 days from when they were created. After that they are deleted automatically, so download what you want to keep.

§6Refunds and problems

If the service doesn't work as described, or something is wrong with what you received, tell us at hei@planviah.com within a reasonable time after you notice. We will fix it, give you new content or refund you in full or in part.

You can also ask Link for a refund. Under Link's refund policy, Link reviews requests made within 60 days of purchase, for example if the product was not delivered or was significantly different from its description. Nothing in these terms limits a refund Link grants or the law gives you.

Wanting a different style, tone or wording is not a fault.

§7Your right to cancel

United Kingdom. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. For digital content, the right to cancel ends once the content is unlocked, if you asked for it to be unlocked straight away and acknowledged that you lose the right. We ask you to tick a box confirming this before checkout, and confirm it by email after you buy. If you do not want to give up the right, do not complete the purchase. Your rights in section 6, and Link's own policies, still apply.

United States and Canada. There is generally no cooling-off period for digital content bought online, but you keep the rights in section 6 and any right the consumer protection laws of your state or province give you.

To cancel or ask for a refund, email hei@planviah.com with the subject "Cancellation" and your order email. You don't need to give a reason. If you are entitled to a refund, it is paid to the payment method you used within 14 days.

§8Your content and use of the service

You own what you enter, and what we create for you. You may use it freely in your own job search. We use your content only to provide the service to you.

You must not:

  • enter information about other people without their permission
  • use the service to create false or misleading information about yourself
  • try to get around usage limits, payment or security
  • resell the service or what it produces

If you break these rules, we may close your account.

The website, the templates and the StudentCV brand belong to us.

§9Liability

StudentCV is a tool. We do not promise that you will get an interview or a job.

We do our best to keep the service available, but it may be down at times. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect loss. This does not limit your rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

§10Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. If the changes are significant, we will email you before they take effect. The date at the top shows when the terms were last changed. A purchase is governed by the terms in force when you made it.

§11Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country, state or province you live in, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If we disagree, we'll first try to find a solution together. Write to hei@planviah.com and we will answer within 14 days.
