Accessibility Statement

Last updated October 4, 2026
StudentCV is operated by Planviah Helgesen, Norway · Org. no. 935 477 549

§1Our commitment

We want studentcv.app to work for everyone, whatever their abilities, assistive technology or device. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and describe below where we don't meet it yet and what we're doing about it.

This statement covers studentcv.app, including the UK (/uk) and Canadian (/ca) versions of the site, operated by Planviah Helgesen (Norway, org. no. 935 477 549).

§2How we checked

The assessment behind this statement is our own review, with Lighthouse audits and manual keyboard testing. It has not been audited by a third party.

§3What we have in place

  • Language and structure: every page declares its language, so screen readers read it correctly, and uses semantic HTML (navigation, headers, main content, footer).
  • Navigation: the mobile menu button announces whether it is open or closed, and links and buttons have large enough click targets.
  • Forms and errors: error messages on sign-in and sign-up are announced automatically when they appear.
  • Images: functional images have alt text, and decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Text: font sizes are relative and scale with your settings, and text stays visible while fonts load.
  • Contrast: body text and links meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Motion: animations respect your system's reduced-motion setting.

§4Known gaps

§5Alternatives and help

Your documents come as PDF and Word files. The Word file (.docx) works better with screen readers than the PDF, so we recommend it if you use assistive technology.

If you need a document in another format, such as plain text or HTML, email hei@planviah.com with the subject "Accessibility" and we will make it for you at no extra cost. The same goes if any part of the service doesn't work for you: tell us what you need and we will help you personally.

§6Feedback and contact

If you find an accessibility problem we haven't listed, or have suggestions, email hei@planviah.com with the subject "Accessibility". We confirm receipt within 2 business days and aim to resolve issues within 30 days.

We update this statement when the service or its accessibility changes.
